Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to Pneuma: International Journal of Pentecostal Theology and Spirituality are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency, academic quality, and compliance with the journal’s publication standards.

  1. General Requirements
    Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions may be written in English and must be relevant to the focus and scope of the journal.
  2. Manuscript Structure
    The manuscript should generally contain:

  • Author(s) Name and Affiliation
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Methodology or Research Method
  • Discussion/Results
  • Conclusion
  • References
  1. Title and Abstract
    The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the content of the manuscript. The abstract should clearly summarize the research objectives, methods, findings, and conclusions in approximately 150–250 words.
  2. Keywords
    Authors should provide 3–5 keywords related to the manuscript topic.
  3. Manuscript Length
    The manuscript should typically consist of approximately 5,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
  4. Citation and References
    Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant scholarly references. References and citations should follow the APA (American Psychological Association) style or the citation style adopted by the journal. The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is recommended.
  5. Tables, Figures, and Images
    Tables, figures, and images must be clear, properly labeled, and cited in the manuscript. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted materials when necessary.
  6. Ethical Standards
    Authors must ensure that the manuscript is free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and unethical research practices. All submitted manuscripts will undergo plagiarism screening.
  7. Review Process
    All manuscripts submitted to the journal will undergo a double-blind peer-review process. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ and editors’ comments.
  8. Submission Process
    Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are encouraged to carefully check the manuscript formatting and completeness before submission.
  9. Article Processing Charges (APC)
    The journal does not charge any submission fee. Publication fees are charged only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication in accordance with the journal’s APC policy.
  10. Copyright and Open Access
    Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. All published articles are made openly accessible for academic and non-commercial use.
